Nothing justifies violence.
The evil men did beat,
And she was too frail
To resist or defeat,
Withered and pale...
She wished for rain,
To conceal her pain,
But never did it pour,
Never did the bird soar.
Caged she remained,
Emotionally drained,
Beaten and hurt,
Treated equivalent to dirt.
She wished for a miracle,
For hearts to change,
To be filled with love and compassion..
